If your son or daughter has shown an interest in playing golf, the Palm Desert Golf Academy offers the perfect starting place. Since 1998, they have been the leading progressive instruction program in the Desert, preparing young golfers for high school competitions through engaging and
dynamic after-school instruction.

Under the expert guidance of Paul Bucy, a three-time DCPGA Junior Golf PGA Teacher of the Year, and his dedicated staff, their junior golf programs focus on skill development, confidence-building, and on-course play. Juniors will learn through personalized coaching and fun, structured lessons that keep them active and engaged.

After-School Programs

1. Fairway Kids After School Series

  • Skill Level: Beginner
  • Ages: 7 to 13
  • Dates: February 25 – April 15, 2025

Description: This 8-week series introduces beginners to the basics of the game using the U.S. Kids Golf Level-Based System. Young golfers will develop essential skills, learn proper etiquette, and gain on-course experience in a supportive environment.

Program Highlights:

  • 4:1 student/coach ratio for personalized instruction.
  • Includes skills classes, rules and etiquette lessons, and on-course playing sessions.
  • Equipment provided for those who need it.

2. Bobcats Players Series

  • Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
  • Ages: 7 to 13
  • Dates: February 12 – April 16, 2025

Description: This 10-week program focuses on tournament prep, advanced techniques, and course management. Juniors will spend the majority of their time on the course, learning strategy and sharpening their skills for competition.

Program Highlights:

  • 6:1 student/coach ratio for individualized attention.
  • Emphasis on tournament and junior league preparation.
  • Equipment provided for those who need it.

Individual Junior Lessons

  • 50-minute lesson: $125 per person
  • 30-minute lesson: $65 per person

Junior Membership

Cost: $999 per junior (ages 17 and under)
